Yesterday, the U.S. Department of Justice released some interesting stats on the activities of the busy bees in the agency’s Corporate Fraud Task Force since its creation in July of 2002.
- More than 1,000 corporate fraud convictions
- More than 100 convictions of CEOs and presidents in relation to 600 filed corporate fraud cases
- Conviction of more than 30 CFOs and 100 Vice Presidents
- Greatest hits including: Enron’s Jeffrey Skilling and Ken Lay, Worldcom’s Bernard Ebbers, and Adelphia’s John Rigas.
